Burgers & A Home Run

Tuesday, July 1, 2014

Nothing too exciting to write about. Zach didn't play in the game because of his arm and he was able to leave after the 3rd inning. When he got back to the hotel, we went downstairs to have dinner. We each got a cheeseburger, a soda, and we split a small salad. Our bill was $90. Did we just pay for the people next to us too? It was definitely not worth that kind of money.

After Zach went to the field, I got a facial at the spa in the hotel. It was one of the best facials I ever had. The facial included face whitening. I wanted to ask if it were similar to teeth whitening, but I obviously couldn't communicate with them. Either way, my face looked bright. It was probably all in my head.
I had to take a taxi to the game. All taxi drivers drive the same here. On the gas. Off the gas. On the gas. Off the gas. No wonder I get car sick every single time. I had a much better seat in this stadium compared to the last one. Even though Zach was still hurt from being hit, he played in the game. His 2 run HR gave the Eagles a 2-0 win!

We decided to go back and check out the Osaka Castle again. Luckily, no field trip. After we bought our ticket to go inside, we realized that we needed a translator with us. We understood absolutely nothing! Oh well, at least we were in the castle!

On the way to the field, I had another taxi driver with the same driving technique as the day before. Not fun. After Zach's first at bat, he had no feeling in his hand. He was in serious pain. His forearm just wasn't healing. He couldn't go to the hospital because there wasn't a doctor on call. No doctor? That doesn't sound too safe. Since he was pretty bummed and in pain, I bought him a crêpe and saved it for him for after the game. Can we say best wife ever?
